IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar, a culinary hotspot that serves contemporary Japanese dishes accompanied by Asian inspired cocktails and spirits. At the heart of the concept stands international hospitality entrepreneur Yossi Eliyahoo, known for Amsterdam restaurants/ bars MOMO, The Duchess and Mr Porter and now international concepts The Butcher (Amsterdam & Berlin ) and IZAKAYA (Amsterdam, Hamburg, Munich & Ibiza). Executive Chef Hariprasad Shetty composed a sophisticated menu of a variety of small, unconventional dishes and specialties of the Robata grill; always daring the guest to try something new. The design is simple and authentic, which creates a stylish and lively atmosphere that fits the needs of a cosmopolitan city.

Asian Chef (m/w)

We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable Pastry chef de Partie to join our ongoing growing team. In this position, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of the pastry department of IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar. You will be expected to deliver experience and motivate all staff of the pastry section to ensure and aim to deliver a great dining experience for our guests. As a Pastry Chef de Partie you will be responsible for maintaining quality and increasing profitability. Management skills and a good understanding of high efficiency and concept experience are a must.

 

Responsibilities

  • To ensure all that all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time
  • To ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity
  • To deputize in the sous chef’s absence and take charge of the kitchen when directed to do so
  • To ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the sous chef or head chef
  • To strive to study relevant subjects in preparation to future advancement
